Biography: Bill Shay coached basketball for 35 years with a most impressive won-loss percentage of 75%. His numerous honors have included being voted into the Catholic League Hall of Fame, Coach of the Year awards, coaching in 7 All Star games and was the North coach in the 1953 North-South Cage Classic featuring the most outstanding seniors of the nation.  Bill coached at St. Phillip, DeLaSalle, and Fenwick High schools and at Loyola University from 1956-1960.  bill Shay passed away on September 14, 1986 at the age of 77.
