Biography:  The Fighting Illini, under the direction of Coach Harry Combes, finsihed 3rd in the NCAA Tournament with a 22-5 record.  The squad won The Big Ten Conference title with a 13-1 record and finished 5th in the nation in the final AP poll.

The IBCA recognizes these teams from the “Golden Age”of University of Illinois men’s basketball.  Never forgotten!
