Biography:
Lisa and her sister, Lynette, Robinson were four year starters for 220-student Annawan High School in the early one class system in Illinois. They were major reasons Annawan was able to end the first state champion Sterling’s 42-game winning streak in the 1978 Sterling Sectional Tournament, 52-46, before nearly 5,000 fans.
Their high school careers ended in the East Moline Super-Sectional with a loss to Moline in overtime, 78-74.
Lisa set the school record of 448 points for a season and 928 points in a career. Her 41 points against Princeton in 1977-78 also set a school record as did her 24.1 ppg season average. She lettered at Illinois from 1979-1982 and led the Fighting Illini in scoring each year. She is on the Illinois career scoring list with 1,906 points for 109 games and a 17.5 scoring average. She set an Illinois single game mark of 40 points against Southern Illinois University in 1981 which was eclipsed in 1983.
Lisa set the school free-throw accuracy record for a season at 88.8% in 1981; and for her career (83.3%). She led the nation in free throw shooting in 1982. At one time, Lisa owned three of the top nine scoring season in Illini history.
Lisa was the Big Ten Medal of Honor winner in 1982 when she was named to the All-Big Ten tournament team and was a member of the CoSIDA Academic All-American team. Lisa in 1981 made Drake Harvest Classic and the Pizza Hut Classic (1980) all-tournament teams. She was named the MVP in the 1980 New Mexico Invitational.
