Biography:

Maura was a Converse All-American and first-team all-state player in 1980-81 at Wheaton Central High School (now Wheaton Warrenville South). A 5-4 guard, she scored 2,199 career points and is a member of the Wheaton Warrenville South Hall of Fame.

Maura moved on to have a superb career at Georgetown University from 1981-85. Her 1,293 points rank 12th all-time and her .520 field goal percentage is sixth. She was a first-team all-Big East Conference selection in 1984-85.
