Biography:

Travis graduated from Williamsfield High School in 1997 as the career scoring leader with 2,595 points. He led Williamsfield to the state tournament as a senior. A first-team all-stater, he scored a single-season record 1,022 points.

 Travis started for two years at Southeastern Iowa Junior College, helping the squad to  win an NJCAA national championship. He went on to play two years at Louisiana Tech, where he was a starter his senior year and shot 90 percent from the free-throw line.
