Biography:

Known as “Quags” on the Chicago area high school basketball scene, Dick began covering high school hoops in 1972.  He began with the City News Bureau while still a student at Lake Forest Academy.

Dick later worked for the Leader Newspapers, the Arlington Heights Daily Herald and at the Chicago Sun-Times as part of Taylor Bell’s “Swat Squad.” He covered games and wrote feature stories for 30 years before returning to the Daily Herald for a second stint beginning in 2013.
