Biography:

Bryan Bloodworth, the sports editor of The Pantagraph in Bloomington learned a lot of basketball while serving IBCA Hall of Fame Coach Carroll “Nellie” Bennett as basketball manager for four years at Marshall(IL) High School.  

Bloodworth began his career in journalism in 1976 at The Pantagraph where he has been ever since.  The number of basketball games Bloodworth has covered is overwhelming and includes the annual state tournaments.

Bloodworth has served on the Associated Press Class A basketball ratings poll and the IBCA All-Star selection committee.   Bloodworth has been a fixture at the IBCA and other all-star games.

In 1989, Bloodworth was selected to author the Class AA IHSA State Tournament program.  Bloodworth, basketball, and Bloomington has been an inseparable success.
