Biography:  Dean Hulvey began a teaching career at Brown County High School in Mt. Sterline in 1961.  Dean volunteered and worked as the Brown County official basketball/football scorekeeper and timer.  He served as the official scorer in the 1985 IHSA Class A boys’ state tournament.  Dean, who was an industrial arts teacher at the school built the official football booth, built basketball scoring tables and repaired or built many other items that the athletic department may have needed.  It is hard to describe the individual’s dedication and support demonstrated for Brown County basketball, its studnets and the community.  Dean Hulvey died November 10, 2021 at the age of 88.
