Biography: In NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament history, the 1963 Loyola Ramblers are the only Illinois team to win the championship.  With a 29-2 record, Loyola averaged 92 PPG while allowing only 68 PPG.  This was before the addition of the three-point field goal.  One of the quickest teams in tournament history, the Rambler trademark was their man to man press.  The final game against Cincinnati was one of the most exciting finals in tournament history
