Biography: Tauja was Illinois Ms. Basketball and a Parade All-American in 1996 at Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire. She starred on Stevenson state championship teams in 1995 and 1996, finishing her career as Stevenson’s scoring and rebounding leader for boys and girls. Tauja later became a first-team all-Big Ten player at the University of Illinois. She was the first player in Illini history with more than 1,400 points, 700 rebounds, 300 assists and 200 steals.
