Biography: After playing on four state championship teams at Peoria Manual, Marcus earned NJCAA All-America honors at Lincoln College before becoming a third-team all-Big Ten pick at Illinois.  He helped Illinois to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament his senior year.  Marcus was the second-leading scorer on that Illini team with 11.3 points per game. He was the NJCAA National Division II Player of the Year as a sophomore at Lincoln College, averaging 20.3 points and 9.3 rebounds.
