Biography: Andy Phillip began as an outstanding player at Granite City HS.  He then went on to have one of the most distinguished collegiate careers that any player has ever had.  Andy was a member of one of the greatest college basketball teams of all time, “The Whiz Kids” of the University of Illinois.  His standout play earned a spot on the All Time Big Ten basketball team and a selection into the Naismith Hall of Fame.  Andy played 10 years of professional basketball where he was a standout as well.  Andy Phillip passed away on April 29, 2001.
