Biography: Max Hooper was one of the all time greats to come from the southern Illinois area.  He led his Mt. Vernon Rams to consecutive state titles in 1949 and 1950.  Max was a two time all state player and set several state tournament records.  He went on to play at the University of Illinois for three years and spent two years in the NIBL with the Denver-Chicago Truckers. Max died on June 21, 2020.
