Biography: Marcus was a three-year starter at Elgin High School, averaging 17.1 points, 5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game as a senior. He led the Upstate Eight Conference in 3-pointers that season and was a 2000 IBCA All-Star selection.  Marcus went on to start for four years at Indiana State, where he helped the Sycamores reach the 2001 NCAA Tournament. Indiana State upset Oklahoma before losing to Gonzaga in the second round. Marcus was the leading scorer vs. Gonzaga.
