Biography: George starred at (Chicago) St. Rita High School from 1962-66, earning all-state honors in 1966 from the Chicago Daily News and Champaign News-Gazette. He received a scholarship to the University of Dayton.  George played 82 games for the Flyers in three varsity eligible seasons, helping Dayton to the NIT championship in 1968 and NCAA Tournament berths in 1969 and 1970. He averaged 11.1 points and 8.3 rebounds in his Dayton career and was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers.  George Janky died on November 11, 2022 at the age of 74.
