Biography: Marcus was a three-year starter at Elgin High School, graduating in 2000 with 1,201 career points. He averaged 19 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots per game, finishing with 382 career blocks. Marcus later played four years at Northern Illinois, serving as a part-time starter his first two seasons and starting full-time his final two years. He was a first-team all-Mid-American Conference pick and went on to play 10 years professionally abroad.
