Biography: LaMarr Thomas was a member of the (Harvey)Thornton High School 1966 IHSA state championship team, already an IBCA Hall of Fame squad.  Thomas averaged 20 ppg as a senior and is regarded by many as the greatest defensive player ever produced by the old South Suburban League.  LaMarr had the distinction of making the all-state football and basketball teams in both his junior and senior years.  After high school, LaMarr, a 6’2” guard lettered in basketball at Michigan State University.  LaMarr Thomas died at the age of 70 on February 17, 2019.
