Biography: Steve Kuberski graduated from Moline HS in 1965.  During his senior year, he scored 749 points in the Maroons’ 28 games, a Quad City record at the time.  After attending the University of Illinois and playing briefly as a sophomore, he transferred to Bradley University in 1967.  During the 1967-68 season he played in an industrial league, was one of 16 players in an AAU group chosen to participate in the 1968 Olympic trials.  At Bradley for the 1968-69 season, he tied with L.C. Bowen for team scoring honors with 598 points for a 23.0 ppg average.  In September of 1969, Steve signed with the Boston Celtics after being drafted in the 4^th round, foregoing his final season of collegiate eligibility.  Steve played in the NBA for 11 seasons, 8 with the Celtics.
