Biography: Ernie officiated for 35 years in the Chicago area and throughout the state. His Illinois High School Association officiating resume includes 23 regionals, 14 sectionals and four super-sectionals.  In addition to officiating in countless regular season and tournament games throughout his long and distinguished career, Ernie reached the pinnacle for a high school official
by working two state finals.
