Biography: Elie Hasan is a graduate of Englewood HS in Chicago and the University of Illinois.  He was the athletic director of Hyde Park HS for 42 years before his passing in 1969.  Elie was voted one of the most outstanding prep and Big Ten basketball officials of all time.  His career in officiating spanned 35+ years.  He even toured the world as a good will ambassador while he was officiating for the fabulous Harlem Globe Trotters.  A native Chicagoan, Elie devoted his life to the young people of his home town.
