Biography: Tom officiated for 30-plus years and was considered a premier official in Southwestern Illinois. He was a familiar face throughout the region in a career that saw him work 17 IHSA Class AA Regionals, 19 IHSA Class A Regionals and 10 IHSA Class AA Sectionals. Tom also officated numerous Southwestern Illinois tournaments and worked college games at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and elsewhere. He was on track to officiate in the state finals when illness cut his career short.
