Biography: Elmer Hazzard is long retired as a sports writer for the Collinsville Herald.  During his tenure there, Elmer could be seen watching basketball all over the state as he followed his beloved Kahoks.  Elmer’s 1974 Hall of Fame selection was based on the strong recommendations of Coach Vergil Fletcher.  Elmer Hazzard passed away on April 23, 1976.
