Biography: John is in his 31st season of broadcasting high school sports in central Illinois. He began his radio career in 1984 at WTAX in Springfield before moving to WFMB sports radio in 1997.  John has broadcast high school football, basketball, baseball and softball, including the IHSA state basketball finals every year since 1993. He also co-hosts a Saturday morning sports talk show with Hall of Famer Tim Schweitzer, as well as co-hosting “The Press Box” two days a week.
