Milford High School

Biography: David coached basketball at Milford Grade School for 4 years and at Milford High School for 14 years from 1984-198.  He had a 46-19 record at the grade school and a 267-105 mark at the high school.  David’s teams won 6 county championships, 7 conference titles, 5 holiday tournament championships, 1 IHSA Regional title and 2 sportsmanship awards.  He guided Milford to 7 straight 20-win seasons.  He the went into administration as the principal of Milford Grade School but continued to assist with the high school varsity boys’ team.  David returned to the Bearcat sidelines as the varsity boys’ coach for the 2015-2016 season and has pushed his career varsity record to 425-194 through the 2022-2023 season.  Although David entered the Hall of Fame in the Friends of Basketball Category, his continuation in the coaching profession qualified him to move to the Coach Category.  The IBCA Board approved the move in 2023.
