Biography: Dorothy Love is the widow of Gil Love, a charter member of the IBCA Hall of Fame as a basketball coach at Ottawa High School. Their son John was inducted as a player in 1987. Gil Love, who died in 1992, compiled a 505-209 record as a coach and it’s doubtful Dorothy missed any of those 714 games. She was always there by Gil’s side and no one loved Ottawa High School more than Gil Love, except for maybe Dorothy.  Dorothy continued to be Ottawa’s biggest fan. She never missed an Ottawa home game, boys or girls, and attended many away games when she could find a ride. She had season tickets at Ottawa’s Kingman Gymnasium for 57 years at the time of her induction and was present at many other Ottawa High School functions. She continued the Gil Love Scholarship given annually to an Ottawa scholar-athlete.  Dorothy Love died on March 9, 2015 at the age of 101.
