Biography: John has been around basketball his entire life.  His father, Robert, was a long time coach at Centralia Junior High School and is a 1974 IBCA Hall of Famer.  John began working as a bench official while in high school and has served in that capacity for 50+ years.  He has been a timer for Highland Community Schools for 40 years (junior high and high school varsity).  He also has been a timer for McKendree University men’s basketball games for 30+ years.
