Biography: Charles “Chick” McGary ran the clock for 48 years in Earlville, missing very few games.  He estimated that he had seen over 2,000 games when grade school and high school are combined.  He remembers timing games with a stopwatch before the current boards were available.  Chick has enjoyed his great associations with coaches, officials, and fellow timers and scorers.  He was highly respected by all who came in contact with this career farmer from Earlville.
