Biography:  At the time of his induction, Earle Boner had spent 29 seasons as a boys’ basketball coach at the junior high school level.  He spent 2 years at Leroy Junior High School and 27 years at (Mendota) Northbrook Junior High School.  Some seasons Boner coached both the 7th grade and 8th grade teams.  Earle’s career record stands at 377-203.  6 different times his Northbrook teams won the Starved Rock Conference Championship.  Mendota players and fans can point to the Mendota high school varsity records and easily show you the great fundamentals that the players learned while playing for Earle Boner, who died on January 29, 2013 at the age of 82.
