Biography: Marc Fletcher was a three-year starter for his father, Vergil Fletcher, on the Collinsville Kahoks from 1971-1974. FLetcher was rated one of the top offensive guards to have played there . He was a member of a state tournament in 1972-73. Fletcher was also accorded all-Southwestern Conference, all-Metro district and all-state honors in 1974. At the time of his graduation, he was sixth on the Kahoks’ all-time scoring list and third on the single season list when he averaged 28.2ppg as a senior. Fletcher scored 48 points in the 1973 Carbondale Holiday Tournament semifinal game and was named the tourney’s most valuable player. He was an outstanding passer and ranked second in career assists at Collinsville. Fletcher was an outstanding defensive player. He received the St Louis Elks award in 1974. Marc Fletcher played his collegiate career at Tulane University.
