Biography: Chuck Verderber scored more than 2,000 points at Lincoln (IL)  High School where he set 10 career scoring and rebound records. Verderber was the Big 12 Conference most valuable player for three years. He was an IBCA and Associated Press all-stater his senior year. Verderber lettered four seasons (1978-82) at Kentucky where he was an academic selection for four seasons in the Southeastern Conference and was an honorable mention Academic All-American. Verderber served the Wildcats as team captain.
