Biography: Bennie Louis started three seasons at Pinckneyville High School where he earned all-Southern Illinois, all-state and honorable mention all-American player honors. Louis played on three conference championship teams and three IHSA Regional winners. Louis also played on one IHSA Sectional Champion. Louis won three letters at the University of Illinois and started his last three seasons. As a senior, Louis was captain of the Illini. Louis also earned the prestigious George Huff Award for scholarship and athletics.
