Biography: Bo Ellis was a three year starter for Chicago’s Francis Parker High School. Three times he was named all-city and all-area. Twice Ellis was accorded all-state honors and as a senior was named a high school All-American. In his senior year at Parker, Ellis averaged 28 ppg and 18 rpg. Ellis played four seasons at Marquette University and on two Final Four teams. In 1977, Marquette and Ellis were NCAA champions. Teams for which Ellis played at Marquette posted a combined record of 101-18. Ellis left as the second leading rebounder and third leading scorer at Marquette. Ellis was a first-round choice in the 1977 NBA draft. He played three years for the Denver Nuggets.
