Biography:

Dave dedicated his career to developing players on the lower levels so they were prepared for varsity basketball. He spent one year as freshman coach at (Effingham) St. Anthony before coaching 33 years at Geneseo High School.  Dave moved between serving as freshman head coach, sophomore head coach and a varsity assistant. Most of his years were spent as sophomore head coach. Geneseo head coach Brad Storm called him “an awesome teacher of the game.”
