Biography:

Torrey has been an IHSA certified official since 1988. He has worked 24 IHSA Regionals, 16 IHSA Sectionals, 6 IHSA Super-sectionals and IHSA State Finals in 2014, 2015 and 2019. At the time of his induction Torrey had been an IHSA clinician for 16 years.

Torrey is ranked among the Top 5 Best Basketball Referees in the State of Illinois for many years. He was an assistant football coach at Auburn High School from 2006-2020 and worked for the Illinois State Police from 1995 until retiring in 2020.
