I never knew I would play basketball in Huff Gym! The first time I heard about it was when my older brother Howie, as a freshman, played on the Hebron High School basketball team in the 1940 State Basketball Tournament.

I was blessed to have played in three IHSA State Basketball Tournaments while playing for the Stephen Decatur “Runnin’ Reds.” During the 1961-62 season, we won the State Tournament.

Amanda Glazebrook’s basketball journey is one for the history books. Amanda set records on the court as the point guard for Sullivan High School’s undefeated, nationally-ranked state championship team.

Don was an NBA All-Star five times and scored over 10,000 points. He is one of only 30 players from Illinois High Schools to achieve this feat.
