Biography: Jeff Clements is one of the greatest high school players turned out by Mt Pulaski High School. Clements scored 2,212 points in his high school career which started at Beason High School before moving to Mt. Pulaski (NOTE: There was no 3 point line during this era). Clements started all 119 varsity games in high school. He led Mt Pulaski to the IHSA Class A State Championship in 1976 when the Hilltoppers topped R.O.V.A. 59-58 on Clement’s winning basket. Clements had scored 40 points in his first state tourney game. The following year Clements and the Hilltoppers were back in the Assembly Hall and finished fourth. Both years Clements was an all-tournament selection as well as being named to the Associated Press and IBCA All-State teams. Teams which Clements played on compiled a 102-17 record. He played four years at Illinois Wesleyan University, starting for three of the years. Clements and the Titans participated in the NAIA Division III National Championships in 1980.
