Biography: Henry Cowherd is a graduate of East Aurora High School and since 1991 he was a member of the school’s booster club. Two years he served as president of the Boosters. Cowherd served as East Aurora Booster Club concessions manager for 12 years. He still found time to serve 13 years as a member of District 141 Board of Education. The East Aurora School has honored Cowherd with a life membership in the East Aurora P.T.A.  Cowherd was a recipient of the TOMMY award for special recognition for years of service to the students at East Aurora High School. Cowherd served as a track official at East Aurora and throughout the Fox Valley.

In the community, Cowherd served his church, Aurora Boys Baseball and coached a church league basketball team. Henry Cowherd died on July 12, 2017 at the age of 93.
