Biography: Randy Feller directed varsity boys basketball teams for 23 years in east central Illinois. His coaching resume showed stops at Ford Central, Hoopeston-East Lynn and Danville Schlarman with an overall coaching mark of 411-244. While compiling an 87-45 record at Ford Central, Feller’s team won the Melvin-Sibley Tournament five times, the Vermilion Valley Conference Tournament twice, the league title twice and two regional titles. In 12 seasons at Hoopeston-East Lynn, Feller amassed a 242-107 record, which included four Wauseca Conference championships, four Hoopeston-East Lynn Tournament crowns, two Rossville Holiday Tournament titles and a Vermilion County Tournament crown. Highlighting his tenure there were consecutive third-place finishes in the 1984 and 1985 Class A state tournament and an Elite Eight appearance in 1986. The Cornjerkers won four regional titles under Feller. At Schlarman, Feller won two regionals and posted an 82-94 record.
Randy Feller passed away on June 3, 2021 at age 73.
