Biography: Lester Frisse was one of the hardest-working officials Illinois has seen. He officiated for more than 40 years and is truly a legend in Southwestern Illinois. He calls upwards of 100 games a year at all levels and is involved in the tutoring of younger officials. If any athletic director needs an official at a moment’s notice, Frisse is the one to call. He is also a fixture at the State Lutheran Tournament in Chicago and called numerous boys’ and girls’ games at the elementary, junior high, high school and college levels. Lester was a highly dedicated individual to the game of basketball in the state of Illinois.
