Biography: Al’s coaching career has included five years as a high school assistant coach, 17 seasons as a varsity head coach and 10 as a NCAA Division I assistant coach. He was assistant coach at Bradley University from 1999-2005 and at Illinois-Chicago from 2010-2014.  Al became head coach at DeKalb High School. His tenure as head coach at Elmhurst York included a 90-51 record, the best five-year stretch in school history, and the first West Suburban Conference championship in 38 years.  At Dekalb, (2015-2018) Al posted an 83-37 record before finishing a two year stint at Glenbard East (2019-2021) 16-40 record. Al’s total career HS record stands at 426-248.
