Biography: Jim began his career in 1972 as a grade school coach in the Harmon Emge Ellis school district in Belleville. One year he coached two teams at once. Emge went undefeated and Ellis had one loss.  Jim later coached at Emge Junior High and never had a losing season. He also served as a freshman coach, sophomore coach, JV coach and varsity assistant at Collinsville. In 2003, he was named the AFLAC National Assistant Coach of the Year.
