Biography: Dr. William Gilman had already been a superb booster for Wenona HS athletics spanning 40 years when he was inducted into the IBCA Hall of Fame in 1976.  Dr. Gilman was always ready to help with any task that was needed.  He helped provide college scholarships for Wenona players and has helped the school staff at basketball games for those many years.  Tri-County Conference basketball fans recognize Dr. Gilman as one of the greatest supporters of high school athletics in the state of Illinois.  Dr. Gilman passed away on March 17, 1990.
