Biography: A 1966 graduate of (Springfield) Lanphier High School, Rich began as a substitute scorekeeper for Lanphier basketball in 1967.  He took over the full-time duties in the early 1980’s and continued that role through his Hall of Fame induction in 2019.  Rich does the book for boys’ freshman through varsity games at home and varsity/JV games on the road.  He has kept the book for Lanphier games at the Pekin Holiday Tournament since 1967, all of the Springfield City Tournament games and Lanphier’s 7 IHSA State Tournament appearances.
