Biography: Dell was a highly successful coach at Allendale and Mt. Carmel (IL) high schools.  before establishing the basketball program at Wabash Valley College.  Prior to his death in 1969, he coached for 26.5 years, building a 304-188 record in just 20 years at Allendale.  Dell was on pace to reach the requirements for induction in the coach’s category before his untimely death.  His Allendale teams won 5 IHSA District titles, and 7 Little Ten Conference championships despite an average enrollment of just 78 students.
