Biography: Pete has been a mainstay in the Springfield and central Illinois sports medicine community since his arrival in 1983.  He was instrumental in the creation of three sports medicine programs, including the Springfield Clinic in 2014.  Pete was the primary athletic trainer at (Springfield) Sacred Heart-Griffin High School for 30 years.  At the time of his HOF induction, he was helping Rochester High School.  He has worked with nearly every school in Sangamon and neighboring counties.
