Biography: For 22 years (1957-1979) Bill Niepoetter kept the readers of the Centralia Sentinal informed of the exploits of the Centralia High School Orphans. During this span, Bill served as the paper’s sports editor. A former president of the Associated Press Sports Editors Association, Bill researched all sports history for Centralia HS. He was able to find information dating back to the year 1900. His work led to Centralia being recognized as the winningest program in the nation at one time. Bill passed away in 2009.
