Biography: Dennis worked for the Pioneer Press beginning in 1991, part of a 40+ year career as a sportswriter.  He covered the first IHSA Girls’ State Basketball Tournament in 1977, covering the first nine tournaments.  Dennis has served as sports editor at the Tinley Park Star-Herald and the Quincy Herald-Whig.  He voted for the Ms. Basketball and Mr. Basketball awards since their inception.  He initiated the Illinois-Missouri all-star games in 1983 in Quincy.
