Biography: George (Ed) Meyer officiated games in the Peoria area for 30 years. A graduate of (Peoria) Woodruff High School and Bradley University, Ed worked games from Danville to Moline and Springfield to LaSalle-Peru. On two different occasions, Ed served as the president of the Peoria Officials Association. He worked numerous holiday tournaments in Pontiac, Danville, Macomb, and Toluca. The IHSA tabbed Meyer to work regional and sectional games throughout his entire career. He also worked the college circuit at Illinois Wesleyan, Milliken University, Illinois College, Knox College, Monmouth College and Carthage College. George passed away on April 2, 2010 at the age of 86.
