Biography: Bob Brodbeck officiated basketball for 31 years and was always considered one of the premier officials in Central Illinois. The Peoria resident worked as the man behind the whistle in two Pontiac Holiday Tournaments, eight Pekin Holiday Tournaments, five Springfield City Tournaments, eight seasons in the Missouri Valley Conference, 15 seasons in the Big Ten, 12 years in the Illinois Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and 24 years in the College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin. Brodbeck was in uniform for the 1962 NCAA Western Regional. Brodbeck, of Peoria, worked five Milwaukee Classics, three Indiana Classics, three Detroit Motor City Classics, and three Oklahoma City Classics. In 1961, 1963, and 1964 Brodbeck worked Illinois State High School Finals at Champaign. His assignment to state high school regionals, sectionals, and super-sectionals are also as numerous as his acceptance by fans, coaches, and players.  Bob Brodbeck died on January 23, 2007.
