Biography: Ed averaged 16 ppg over three seasons at (Chicago) Vocational High School on a 5’8″ and under team.  He helped Vocational to city championships in 1948 and 1950.  Ed led the 1950 team to a 23-0 record capped by a victory over DeLaSalle High School for the Caholic–Public League City Championship.  He was a 1st team all-Chicago selection before serving in the United States Army.
